How to get to the Wellesley Hotel

The Wellesley Hotel and Restaurant is located on Wellesley Island, 75 miles north of Syracuse, in the middle of the St. Lawrence River, just 4 miles from Canada.
From Interstate 81 North, cross The Thousand Islands Bridge (the signs say “Bridge to Canada.” You will pay a $2.00 toll).
After you cross the bridge bear right and take the first exit, #51. At the stop sign turn right (back toward the bridge on “Old Bridge Road”) and go about a half-mile to another stop sign at a “T” Intersection. Turn right again and go under the bridge and Thousand Island Park is about 3 miles ahead.
Watch for deer along the road that follows the St. Lawrence River, on your left. When you pass the signs welcoming you to Thousand Island Park you will pass the swimming cove on the left and the Wellesley Hotel is at the main intersection straight ahead.
Please observe the 15 mile per hour speed limit while you are in TI Park.
You can park your car in front of the hotel. You wont need it while you are here because this is a pedestrian community and you will enjoy exploring the narrow cottage lined streets on foot.
